although i am so not the kind of girl who is brand-loyal, i’ve recently found a routine that really seems to work for me.

step 1: laura mercier face polish

gosh, i really love this stuff. just enough scrub without ripping your skin apart.

step 2: murad clarifying cleanser

again, LOVE IT. fights breakouts without over-drying and setting my skin on fire.

step 3: murad exfoliating acne treatment gel

this stuff makes your face as soft as a baby bottom. i swear.

step 4: algenist regenerative anti-aging moisturizer

plenty of moisture with no greasy or oily feeling. ever.

also, here are a few of the things i use on a more sporadic basis:

dial antibacterial bar soap:

i know this seems totally weird, but after 12 hrs at the hospital i’m in serious need of killing germs-even on my face.

murad acne spot treatment:

for when life, or being a girl, wins.

jergens all-purpose face cream:

for the depths of winter. sister pixi actually uses this all the time, but its a little too much for my sensitive skin everyday.

murad clarifying mask:

i use this once a week or so to get rid of any leftover impurities.

as you can see, i really adore the murad acne complex line. it keeps breakouts at bay without over drying and makes my skin super soft and smooth. a perfect canvas for my daily makeup routine!
